This sucks.

This is my first day back to work since Christmas eve, eve. I now know how vomit feels. Once your in the belly you don't want to come back. Walking through the hallways this morning I felt like bile traveling up the esophagus. Once I sat at my cubicle, I felt like said bile hitting the water of a toilet bowl.

I was all set to post during my break, I actually had typed one up, but I had stepped away from my computer and someone in my fam took it upon themselves to close the safari window I was using. Needless to say that killed my inspiration to blog.

I had a very nice Christmas, I got 2 mega gifts. One, Serato Scratch Live. My girlfriend got this for me, and man is it sweet. Some people see this as the downfall of the DJ as we know, hip-hop heads fear that anyone who has a itunes collection will go out and buy it and think themselves a DJ. I just think it will only improve the game. I really don't think "just anyone" would go out and spend $400 a piece on some tech 1200s, a mixer, speakers, and the 600 smackers for the Serato Scratch live.

Two, I got a Nikon Coolpix 7.1 digital camera, you can check out some pictures I have taken with it (all pictures added from 12/25 till present are from me). I need to get some rechargeable batteries for this bad boy because it sucks the life out of them like a owl licks a tootsie roll pop.

In other news Arrested Development was very, very friggin funny last night. The SOB episode has had to be on of the funniest eva! There was on specific scene that had me laughing out loud for a good minute, but I can't remember which scene. It is such a good show.

Also, I need a late pass. I just found this dude, Sufjan Stevens, and his album Illinois, it is glorious. Seriously, it is really nice to listen to. Quick story behind it. His previous album entitled (which I haven't heard yet)Greetings From Michigan: The Great Lake State, along with the album Illinois are two of the 50 albums he wants to make about each state here in the US of A. Its a pretty lofty goal but very cool idea.

All the songs on the Illinois album are lovely pieces of sonic art, but the 2 tracks that stand out to me are: "Concerning The UFO Sighting Near Highland, Illinois ," very cool piano, and "John Wayne Gacy, Jr." The John Wayne Gacy track is perhaps the most beautiful song about a serial killer ever.

Finally.

Scrubs is back tonight on NBC at 9. Its on for a full hour.

Great post, even without a Christmas theme to it. I've been a HUGE advocate for AD for three years now and loved last nights episode. I also wanted to say that your description of going back to work Tuesday was almost identical to how I felt. Through the entire 20 min drive I could feel the impending doom creeping closer.

I tried to get everone I know to watch AD. Other then my brother and myself I didn't know anyone who watched it during the first season. Then F/X, at the end of season one, had a marathon one weekend, so I sat my girlfriend down and made her watch it. She loved it, and still does.

My girlfriend was the same way, with the exception that she had somewhat of an excuse. She was still in college and only got NBC with an antenna. I got her hooked with the DVD when it came out in early September. She has now gotten at least 6 other people to watch. Together, we gave away 2-season 1 dvd sets and 5-season 2 dvd sets this Christmas. People got it as a "gift of good taste." :-)
